Carbon fibre is a great material to work with, your frame has usually been made in several pieces and bonded together. There is absolutely no problem with repairing sections and even replacing sections. Many times when we start stripping down bikes we find areas that have been repaired before they left the factory. We are very happy to give you a quote on your repairs, if you have a look at some of pictures below you can get a good idea yourself on what it all costs.
Generally this is how the pricing works, but let me reinforce GENERALLY. There are lots of variables.
Most carbon repairs are $400 including paint, $450 when there is a decal involved. A small crack say from minor bar slap will be less if we don't need to fully wrap it.
If you have a seat stay snapped and a crack somewhere else usually that is $600 including paint. Once you get to this level another $100 usually and we will give you whole frame a coat of ceramic clear and make it look like new.
None of our prices included stripping your bike down and reassembling it, if you cannot do this yourself please get your local bikeshop to do it before it comes to us.
We have not done before and afters here just the damage...........all of these were repaired, we don't repair anything that we cannot make like new.
We get quite a few requests to "just repair it, I don't care what it looks like". Sorry but we do! We wont just repair somethi
ng and not paint it. Our reason we have seen many repairs that look like someone put a bandage on the frame. When I see that my first question is, "who reapired that?" I never want the answer to be Paint my Bike......
Like wise we get requests to "just paint over it". At the end of the day when it goes wrong we still get the blame.
So bottom line is, we do the whole job right or not at all. Thanks for your understanding!
